A feed's value is a median across nodes, signed by a threshold of the staking set. There's no single source of truth — there's a set, and the set has to agree.

Forcing a wrong value means controlling a threshold of the nodes' stake — which means buying a majority of the network. The economics make that more expensive than just being honest.
